92% of IT Decision-Makers Get Why Process Automation is ‘Vital’

The benefits of digital transformation are mind-blowing. From cheaper costs to better efficiency, a complete digital overhaul presents a whole new set of opportunities. One of those opportunities is the ability to automate complex business processes through process automation.

And most IT-decision-makers know why it’s of such great benefit.

According to a recent report by Camunda, 92% of IT decision-makers see process automation as a vital element of digital transformation.

“The same percentage considers process automation critical to achieving business optimisation and efficiency, and to helping them free up employees to take on more complex, strategic jobs”.

So what exactly is process automation and does it work?

What is Process Automation?

We find processes everywhere. And in almost everything.

A plant goes through certain processes to grow, flower and bear fruit. A project manager goes through certain processes to manage, evaluate and deploy projects.

Stay with us.

The difference lies in the fact that the plant has most of its processes done automatically. With minimal effort used to produce optimal results. Germination, photosynthesis and reproduction are all essentially automated processes.

And on the other hand, the project manager has their work cut out for them. Things like communicating and coordinating with team leaders and supervisors can be time-consuming. Each process becomes manual and tedious.

Where are we going with this?

Well, digital transformation creates the perfect conditions for people to have many of their critical processes automated. Similar to that of a plant.

In the project manager’s case, more time, focus and energy can be spent on optimising and improving the team’s productivity and output, rather than wasting time with multiple communication channels and admin.

With process automation, you remove many of the time barriers and reduce unnecessary resource usage. You allow for more staff flexibility and smoother task transitions. You even improve customer experiences and ROI.

Does It Work? Or Have Any Real Impact?

The short answer is yes.

There are numerous use cases for process automation and the results have been remarkably positive.

“Process automation is making a difference now. Nine in ten decision makers (89%) say it has led to increased business growth in the past year – and a third say they’ve generated at least 100% ROI in the past year alone. This may be one reason why 88% say their organisation plans to increase investment in process automation in the next 24 months, with 46% saying they plan to significantly increase it.”

It works so well, in fact that the research further indicates that:

  • One in three IT professionals have reached more than 100% ROI within one year of their process automation investments.
  • 72% of them have made at least a 50% return on their process automation investments in a year.

With the capabilities of the cloud, smoothe data handling, ML models and UX design, automation becomes more concrete.

An organisation that has the right infrastructure, access to clean data, runs APIs and ML models, uses UX design to approach usability is an organisation that will stand the test of time.

With trillions of dollars going into AI and other modern technologies, investment becomes easier to justify.

Start Automating Your Processes!

Process automation starts with digital transformation.

With a flexible architecture, accessible and clean data, functional ML models, seamless APIs and a culture that fosters collaboration – your ability to compete and succeed in a modern world takes on a new form.

If it’s a complete digital transformation that you require, we can do it.

If your data is the issue, we can clean (and operationalise) it.

Deploying ML models a nightmare? Yes, we’ve got a solution.
